In cycling a rider's strengths and weaknesses lead to varying performances depending on the race course. Essentially these characteristics define athletes and how they are expected to perform. Somehow, there are those who perform at their best regardless of the conditions, breaking the mold. This is where rouleur comes in. A rouleur, in cycling, is someone who can perform consistently over any type of course they find themselves on; an all-rounder.
